Funeral services for Benjamin "Cable" Burgess, 39 of Weaver will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 27, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Saks with Bro. Jeremy Ford and Dr. John Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until service time at the church.

Mr. Burgess was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ernest Pitts, and Jack Burgess.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Nichols, Garrison Nichols, Rusty Arnett, Michael Higgins, Brandon Steel, and Seth Burgess.
Mr. Burgess graduated from Saks High School where he played football. He worked as a safety director at J&D Burgess Trucking Co. for 16 years. He enjoyed playing golf, weightlifting at the gym and spending time at the beach. He was an avid Alabama fan and a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Saks. Mr. Burgess was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandson and friend, and he will be greatly missed.
